A little about the artist... and you (my real partners)

Art has two major sides.
First, there is
EXPRESSION.

Phillip Tuggle is a man of North Carolina and Virginia origins who has traveled widely in the United States and Europe taking advantage of opportunities to learn about the varied minds and hearts of people, with their respective cultures and art.  The human condition is central and essential to art.

Since the 1980's, Phil has  fabricated and formed his designs from antique or unique woods and everlasting materials like  steel, stone and glass.  His creations range from abstract to functional.  Every piece has touched Phil's soul from design through completion and is intended to grow a lifelong and meaningful attachment to its custodians

No artist is an island.  Influences ranging from love to hard labor and nature to technology
all play important roles in the development of body, mind and spirit...and art.

The other side of art is PERCEPTION. My expressions would be incomplete without my wonderful patrons,  family, friends and YOU.  Art cannot exist without the person that perceives it. You are my real partners.  You complete what I might express.  No artist is an island.
